- Identify when a research question may require the application of an advanced methodology beyond the material of Statistics for HDS.
- Identify which methodology is appropriate for statistical problems among the range of commonly used advanced topic areas covered in the module (noting that there are many more topics beyond the scope of this module).
- Gain an appreciation for the breadth of statistical methodologies available, and develop an approach for exploring/learning/applying a new methodology.
- Develop an approach for conducting an analysis and reporting findings within a research team.
